Linda P. (Bartholomew) Stauffer has been a professional potter for over 30 years. A graduate of Louis E. Dieruff H.S. in Allentown (70), she earned her Bachelors degree in Art Education at Kutztown University in 1974. She studied with Dr. Harold Mantz, Ms. Helen Weisz, Mr. Robert Blanchard, and Mr. John Chaney. She is an accomplished potter specializing in functional stoneware vessels and decorative Raku pottery. Most recently she began to construct clay whistles called Ocarinas. Her Ocarinas are included in the new book "From Mud to Music", published by the american Ceramic Society.

In March of 2003 Linda's daughter Katie, 19,was tragically killed in a car accident while attending Swarthmore College. Linda retired from teaching and created the nonprofit Katie Stauffer Memorial Arts Center in Upper Bucks County. Linda is committed to making Katies goal of "someday doing something that will make a difference", a reality. By giving the people of Upper Bucks a facility where they can learn about art and express themselves through the arts we will make a difference.

Linda has recently returned to sculpture to work throught he tremendous grief she lives with every day. Her current project is a 17 piece bronze sculpture of Katie. It is welded into a whole and now needs only chasing and patina.
