Ocarinas
Ocarinas
are musical
instruments made of clay. They originated in Central America and Mexico,
where they are still made today. All whistles are handmade of stoneware
clay and sculpted into the whimsical animal shapes seen here. A bevel
is then carved into the air chamber producing a whistling sound. Fingering
holes are then cut into the body to make a full 8 note octave.
Please allow 3 weeks for creation
of out of stock whistles.
Lindas whistles are included in the new book "From Mud to Music"
published by the American Ceramic Society in 206
