Descendents of Seth Scott of Mexico, NY


Seth Scott was born 22 Apr 1774, prob. in Blandford, MA.  He was the son of John Scott and Rachel Stewart.  Seth was an early settler in Unadilla, Otsego, NY.  He married Amy Burch (1783/84 - 19 Jun 1866, Mexico, Oswego, NY), daughter of Jeremiah Burch and Martha Spencer, c. 1806/07.  By 1830, they were living in Richland, Oswego, NY.  Seth died 7 Aug 1852 in Mexico, NY.
I. Rachel Scott was born bef. 1810 in Unadilla, Otsego, NY.  She married and had two children, but her husband's name is not known.
II. Margaret Scott was born 4 Jan 1810 in Unadilla, NY.  She married John Edick (7 Mar 1810, Stone Arabia, Montgomery, NY - 12 Jan 1886, Richland, Oswego, NY), son of Marcus Ittig and Elizabeth Wabel.  Margaret died 7 Nov 1892 in Mexico, Oswego, NY.
A. Harriet Edick was born in 1833/34 in Richland, NY.  She married Lewis A. Munger (b. 5 Feb 1834, Palermo, Oswego, NY), son of Hiram Munger and Caroline Morse, bef. 1860.  They had no children.
B. Lucy E. Edick was born in 1838/39 in Richland, NY.  She married Samuel Stoddard (1829, Richland, NY - aft. 1910), son of ? and Urana E. Stoddard.  Lucy died in 1905, prob. in Steuben, Oneida, NY.
1. John E. Stoddard was born in 1867/68 in New York.  He resided in Mexico, Oswego, NY.  He was unmarried.
2. George W. Stoddard was born in 1870/71 in New York and died in 1943.  He was unmarried.
3. Lewis A. Stoddard was born in 1875/76 in New York and died 16 Dec 1942.  He was unmarried.
C. Henry Edick was born 27 Oct 1847 in Mexico, Oswego, NY and died 12 Oct 1867 in Mexico, NY.
III. John J. Scott was born in 1812 in Unadilla, Otsego, NY.  He married Pharzina (Sep 1813, New York - 1903, Mexico, NY).  John died in 1866 in Mexico, NY.
A. John Albert Scott was born in 1835/36 in New York.  He married Martha Gray (b. 1843/44, New York), daughter of William H. and Clara Gray.  John died bef. 1870.
1. William Gray Scott was born 25 Nov 1866 in Pulaski, Oswego, NY.  He married Elizabeth (Lizzie) Viola Klock (26 Jul 1867, Scriba, Oswego, NY - 13 Jan 1937, Mexico, NY), daughter of Simeon Klock and Elizabeth Ann Jones, on 26 Jan 1893 in Pulaski, Oswego, NY.  William died 7 Mar 1927, prob. in Syracuse, Onondaga, NY, and is buried in Pulaski Cemetery.
a. Harold Klock Scott was born 8 Aug 1895.  He married Neva Mildred Himes (19 Feb 1900 - 4 Aug 1975, Kenmore, NY), daughter of M.Bertram Hines, on 19 Feb 1920 in Rochester, NY.  They had one daughter.  Harold died 6 Aug 1976 in Kenmore, NY.
b. John Albert Scott was born 18 Nov 1896 in Pulaski, NY.  He married (1) Helen Wright and (2) Hazel.  He lived in Syracuse, NY and Rochester, Monroe, NY.
B. Sarah J. Scott was born in Nov 1837 in New York.  Until 1900, she, Alice, and Pharzina all lived together.  Sarah died in 1919 in Mexico, Oswego, NY.
C. Caroline A. Scott was born in 1838/39 in New York.  She married Nelson Allen Minckler, Jr. (1842, New York - 1916), son of Nelson Allen and Phebe Minckler.  They had no children.  Caroline died in 1907.
D. William Scott was born in 1842/43.
E. Daniel T. Scott was born in 1844.  In 1870, he was living with Sarah and his mother.
F. Alice Scott was born in Apr 1854 in New York.  She does not appear on the 1860 census with this family, but in 1880 is listed as Pharzina's daughter and in 1900 as Sarah's sister.  Alice died in 1913..
IV. Martin G. Scott was born in 1814/15 in Unadilla, Otsego, NY.  He married Charlotte (b. 1824/25, New York).  They lived in Mexico, Oswego, NY.  They had no children. Martin died in 1903.
V. Harriet S. Scott was born 23 Dec 1815 in Unadilla, Otsego, NY.  She married William Edick (1808, poss. Stone Arabia, Montgomery, NY - 1876, Richland, Oswego, NY), son of Marcus Ittig and Elizabeth Wabel, on 21 Jan 1836.  Harriet died 2 Jan 1905 near Mexico, Oswego, NY.
A. Esther J. Edick was born 17 Oct 1838, prob. in Mexico, Oswego, NY.  She married Lorenzo Nicholson (1834, New York - 1899), son of Joseph Nicholson and Demis Loomis.  They lived in Richland, Oswego, NY.  Esther died 2 Apr 1915.
1. Harriet (Hattie) L. Nicholson was born 29 Apr 1863 in New York.  She married Charles Palmer (b. Apr 1865, New York), prob. the son of Ezra and Martha Palmer, in 1888/89 in Cleveland, Oswego, NY.  In 1900, they were living in Constantia, Oswego, NY.  In 1910-20, they were in Morgantown, Monongalia, WV.  Hattie died aft. 1944.
a. Frank D. Palmer was born in Jun 1890 in New York.
b. Lena E. Palmer was born in Apr 1892 in Pennsylvania and died bef. 1944.
2. William Joseph Nicholson was born 15 Jun 1865 in New York.  He married Ida Armeda Chase (Apr 1865, New York - 1912, Fernwood, Oswego, NY) on 26 Mar 1890.  They lived in Richland, Oswego, NY.  William died 22 Dec 1934.
a. Florence Nicholson was born 13 Jul 1891.  She married Pearl Charles Hager (9 Sep 1891 - Jan 1972, Pulaski, Oswego, NY), son of Henry and Ida M. Hager, aft. 1910.  Florence died in Sep 1983 in New Haven, Oswego, NY.
i. Lawrence Hager was born 18 Aug 1912 and died in Jul 1982 in Pulaski, NY.
ii. Kenneth Hager was born 7 Jan 1918 and died 28 May 1992 in New Haven, NY.
iii.  William Hager was born and died in 1936.
b. Bertha May Nicholson was born 12 Jan 1894.  She married Arnold V. Davis (16 Jul 1892, prob. Rossie, St. Lawrence, NY - Sep 1969, Pulaski, Oswego, NY), son of Thomas and Cassie Davis, on 4 May 1912.  They had one daughter.
c. Helen Esther Nicholson was born 19 Oct 1896.  She married William Edgar LeBeau (May 1895, prob. St. Lawrence Co., NY - 11 Oct 1918, Oswego Co, NY), son of Napoleon Pierre LeBeau and Ellen Gilbert, c. Jul 1916.  Esther died 15 Nov 1970 in Brewerton, Onondaga, NY.
i. Donald Lebeau was born 13 Jul 1917 in Fernwood, Oswego, NY and died 16 Jun 2003 in Brewerton, NY.
ii. William Edgar LeBeau, Jr. was born 30 Nov 1918 in Oswego Co., NY and died 22 Oct 1983 in Syracuse, Onondaga, NY.  He married Alberta Rose Frost, daughter of Edward Frost and Anna Marie Densikowski.  They had three children.
d. Howard C. Nicholson was born 15 Jan 1899.  He married Maud M. Dolph (9 Apr 1897 - Sep 1989, Pulaski, NY), daughter of Marion Elbert Dolph and Jessie Mae Everts, on 15 Aug 1925.  They had one daughter.  Howard died in May 1963.
e. Harry L. Nicholson was born 8 Jul 1903.  He married Dorris K. Vorce (9 Sep 1909, prob. Mexico, Oswego, NY - Dec 1975, Mexico, NY), daughter of Burton A. and Maud E. Vorce, on 15 Sep 1927.  They had three daughters.  Harry died 26 Jan 1990 in Mexico, NY.
f. Harold Adelbert Nicholson was born 8 Jul 1903.  He married Dorothy Ella Calkins (b. 12 Aug 1906, Pulaski, Oswego, NY), daughter of Claude Stewart Calkins and Nila Waite, on 12 Aug 1925 in Fernwood, Oswego, NY.  They had a son and two daughters.  Harold died 14 Apr 1972 in Pulaski, NY.
3. Walter R. Nicholson was born 7 Aug 1877 in New York.  He married Lena A. Pierce (Jan 1881-1939), daughter of Winslow and Harriet Pierce, on 4 Jun 1904.  They lived in Richland, Oswego, NY.  Walter died in 1931.
a. Thelma Nicholson was born 21 Jul 1922 in Fernwood, Oswego, NY.  She married John Sheehy.  They had two sons.  Thelma died c. 1955/56.
B. George H. Edick was born 6 Apr 1841, prob. in Mexico, NY.  He married Adelaide V. Staples (26 Jan 1843, Lee Center, Oneida, NY - 2 Jan 1927, Syracuse, Oneida, NY), daughter of Nathan and Phebe Staples, on 28 Mar 1864.  George died 27 Feb 1919, prob. in Fernwood, Oswego, NY.
1. Ida M. Edick was born in Aug 1870 in Pulaski, Oswego, NY.  She married Frank W. White (b. Nov 1868, New York), son of Orange H. and Mary B. White.
a. Harold H. White was born 18 Aug 1896 in New York.  He married Florence D. Hubbs (b. Mar 1898, prob. Richland, Oswego, NY), daughter of Irving G. Hubbs and Nancy C. Dixon, aft. 1920.  They had one daughter.  Harold died 15 Jun 1968 in St. Petersburg, Pinellas, FL.
2. Bertha A. Edick was born in 1878/79 in New York. She married (1) Hatten E. Woods (Sep 1865, New York - 3 Aug 1936, Camden, Oneida, NY), son of Sherman and Jane Woods, on 10 Oct 1897.  She married (2) William Labby on 21 May 1938.  Bertha died 5 May 1968, prob. in Richland, Oswego, NY.
a. Ethel Woods was born 25 Aug 1899.  She married Everett MacDonald on 3 Sep 1919.  They had three children.  Ethel died in Sep 1980 in Woodland Hills, CA.
b. George S. Woods was born 29 Oct 1913 and died in Jul 1978 in Rome, Oneida, NY.
3. Grant G. Edick was born 30 Apr 1881, poss. in Lee Center, NY.  He married (1) Julia B. Mowry (1880, poss. North Mexico, Oswego, NY - 22 Sep 1935, Oswego, Oswego, NY), daughter of Oliver B. Mowry and Ella Calkins, on 19 Dec 1902.  He married (2) Mae Pride Barclay (9 Nov 1890 - Apr 1984, Pulaski, Oswego, NY), daughter of John Floyd and Christine M. Pride.  Grant died 22 Apr 1939 in Pulaski, NY.
a. Donald G. Edick was born 9 Jun 1911 in Pulaski, NY.  He married Dorothy Butler.  They had three children.  Donald died 21 Jun 1964 in Pulaski, NY.
b. Willard Edick was born c. 1913, prob in Pulaski, NY, and died in 1917.

C. Julia A. Edick was born 8 Jun 1843, prob. in Mexico, Oswego, NY and died 4 Sep 1845, prob. in Mexico, NY.
D. John W. Edick was born 29 Dec 1845, prob. in Mexico, NY.  He married Ella J. Whitney (b. 26 Feb 1855, New York), daughter of Oscar F. Whitney and Caroline Whitney, on 24 Dec 1882.  They lived in South Richland, Oswego, NY.  They were childless.  John died 24 Feb 1920.
E. Janette (Nettie) Edick was born 13 Feb 1848 in Richland, Oswego, NY.  She married Burns E. Parkhurst (b. Jul 1843, Richmond Twp., Ontario, NY - aft. 1910) in 1867.  Janette died 13 Jan 1909.
1. John W. Parkhurst was born in May 1870 in Richmond Twp., NY.  He married Bertha J. Sage (b. Jan 1873, Iowa), daughter of Lorenzo D. Sage and Mary A. Smith, in 1897/98.
a. Marie S. Parkhurst was born 26 Aug 1903 in New York.  She married Kenneth P. Wills (27 Jun 1902 - 9 Oct 1988, Boynton Beach, Palm Beach, FL), son of James H. and Nellie M. Wells.  They lived in Onondaga Co., NY.  They had two children.  Marie died in Sep 1988 in Boynton Beach, FL.

1. Nina M. Perry was born in Jan 1880, prob. in Richland, NY.  She married Fred Harvey (poss. 12 Feb 1879, England - Jun 1967) in 1903/04.
a. Percy G. Harvey was born 30 May 1904.  He married Lee Anna (Leeanna) Cone (29 May 1907 - Dec 1972, Mexico, Oswego, NY), daughter of Aubrey and Etta Cone, on 5 Nov 1925.  They had two children.  Percy died 12 Jan 1992 in Fulton, Oswego, NY.
2. Grace H. Perry was born 9 Mar 1886 in Richland, NY.  She married John Andreal Trumbull (26 Jun 1886 - 14 Apr 1976, Pulaski, Oswego, NY), son of John Smith Trumbull and Martha Mantango, in Nov 1917.  They had no children.  Grace died 9 Feb 1920.
G. Robert B. Edick was born 4 May 1859.  He married Ella J. Manwaring (b. 1855/56, prob. Oswego Co., NY.)  They had no children.  Robert died 28 May 1893.
VI. William Scott was born in 1820 in Unadilla, NY.  He was a fisherman and died by drowning aft 1860.
VII. Robert Emmet Scott was born 19 Dec 1822 in Unadilla, Otsego, NY.  He married Nancy Jane Thomas (1832, New York - 8 Jan 1908, Michigan) in 1847, prob. in McHenry Co., IL.  They moved to Muskegon, MI in 1851 and to Grand Rapids, MI in 1878.  Robert died 13 Apr 1894 and is buried in Berlin, Ottawa, MI.
A. Amy Emma Scott was born 9 Jul 1849 in Illinois.  She married John B. Brittain (1848, prob. Berlin, MI - aft. 1920), son of Potter Brookins Brittonn and Jane Coburn, on 1 Aug 1869 in Ottawa Co., MI.  In 1880, they were living in Grand Rapids, Kent, MI.  Amy died 3 Jan 1893, prob. in Berlin, Ottawa, MI.  John and his sons later moved to Detroit, Wayne, MI.
1. Harley J. Brittain was born in 1874/75 in Michigan.  He married Margaret C.  They had one son.
2. Robert Brookins Brittain was born in 1877/78 in Michigan.  He married Sarah Helena (b. 1889/90, Georgia).

B. Martin Emmett Scott was born 17 Dec 1861 in Michigan.  He married (1) Nora Marvin (30 Jan 1864, Berlin, MI - 10 Aug 1885), daughter of Stiles D. Marvin and Almeda Marlott, on 26 Jun 1881 (or 1883) in Ottawa Co., MI.  He married (2) Carrie A. (b. 1865/66, Vermont).  They lived in Grand Repids, Kent, MI.  Martin died 19 Jun 1913 in Michigan.
1. Dorr M. Scott was born 7 Apr 1884.  He married Catherine A (b. 1882/83.)  They lived in Grand Rapids, Kent, MI.
a. Robert E. Scott was born 23 Feb 1913.  He married Vivian I. Swanson on 7 Oct 1939.  Robert died 22 May 1988 in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo, MI.
