Thank you to all runners and walkers for joing us for the 24th annual Alburtis 5K Road Race/Walk and Quinna Schleicher Memorial Fun Run, held on Saturday, August 9, 2008.   The perfect weather and gentle rolling course through historic Lockridge Park and Alburtis (PA) borough provided a nice combination of  road and trail sections for an enjoyable run or walk.  Congratulations to 2008 first-place men finisher Sean McFarland (16:13) and first place lady finisher Amy Grab (19:04).

Trophies and medals were awarded to the top finishers in various categories, and  24th anniversary commemorative tee shirts were presented to the first 200 5K participants.  All entrants were eligible for raffle items, and the pool was open to refresh runners and walkers after the race.

All proceeds from the Alburtis 5K benefit the Alburtis Area Community Center.  The Alburtis Area
Community Center's mission is to provide a balanced and comprehensive range of quality recreational and educational programs and activities for the residents, young and old, of Alburtis and the adjacent communities.
