Thank you to all 5K runners, walkers, fun run participants, and spectators for making the 23rd annual Alburtis 5K Road Race/Walk and Quinna Schleicher Memorial Fun Run (held on Saturday, August 11, 2007) a HUGE success! The weather was PERFECT, and the gentle rolling course through historic Lockridge Park and Alburtis (PA) borough provided a nice combination of road and trail sections for an enjoyable run or walk. Congratulations to first-place men finisher Sean McFarland (16:21) and first place lady finisher Lisa Haas, who set a new female course record of 17:48. Trophies and medals were awarded to the top finishers in various categories, and 23rd anniversary commemorative tee shirts were presented to all 5K participants. All entrants were eligible for raffle items, and the pool was be open (with massages being offered) to refresh runners and walkers after the race.
