Many of you already know that I've gone far beyond being just another one of the many, many thousands of liberty-minded Americans who, after study of the law, have concluded that they are not required by that law to pay the federal income tax.  With a bit of guesswork and some common sense combined, I suspect that due to my prominence in the Libertarian Party, my Web site, my use of common law contractual trusts to achieve asset protection and financial privacy, and my lack of reluctance to, while running for political office as a Libertarian, tell anyone and everyone -- including, of course, the media -- the truth about the federal income tax system, the government decided some time ago that I need to be silenced.  People like me, who have done sufficient research, and have proven to be vocal about things, present a real danger to the federal government's continued use of the income tax fraud to extract money from Americans.  Actually, the government prosecutors said it quite nicely, claiming with regard to a loss here over the assessment issue, in their March 2006 brief to the appeals court:

"...[It] could have a crippling effect on an important species of tax evasion prosecution, thwarting the Congressional goal to protect the essential national system of voluntary tax compliance."

In its effort to silence me, the I.R.S. has ransacked my home at gunpoint, and now the Department of Justice has dragged me into court to face three bogus counts of tax evasion.

I decided that it would be unwise to go this alone, ignoring the advice of some that hiring a lawyer is a bad idea (for a myriad of reasons which I partly agree with, but will not go into here), and retained the services of the internationally-prominent Mark Lane, who some of you may know as the attorney for the We the People organization.  Also on board is attorney Peter Goldberger of Ardmore, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, whose expertise and experience at the appellate level just now have become quite valuable to the case, as the government has filed an interlocutory appeal regarding a proposed jury instruction.  I do not have to tell you that attorneys of this caliber are not inexpensive to retain, and legal fees have been quite daunting to date.

I am encouraging fellow Americans to assist me with the legal fees.   After the armed I.R.S. invasion of my home in November 2001, and my arrest in November 2004, I've been unable to return to full time engineering work, because I'm "on call" with this legal matter for a while yet.  Thus, without a decent salary to lean on, this situation can only drain available resources.

If you would like to make a monetary contribution to the legal defense fund, please visit the Web page www.HelpArt.org, which is set up for secure, online donations via PayPal.  There's also a mailing address (see below) you can use if you prefer cash, check, or money order forms of payment.  That Web site also contains more information related to the value of your donation to what has gone being "my" cause, to that of all non-filing citizens in the third circuit.

Thank you again in advance for giving what you feel you can and should.  Together we can put an end to the unlawful actions of the Internal Revenue Service.  United we stand, divided we fall.  May God bless you and these united states.

As a small token of thanks to donors, I will send them a few copies of my new Income brochure.  Keep one for yourself, and share the other copies with friends and family.
