What's New?

The purpose of this page is to give you folks a quick glance at new material I've found, or recent events, with information on how to access the full story.  Information will remain on this page for a month or so, and then just become "part of the collection."

Trial News

13 March 2007 - I retained a different attorney to file a Motion to Stay Sentencing for the purpose of allowing time to properly litigate a simulataneously-filed Motin to Dismiss Action and Discharge the Accused.  These were filed on Monday, March 5.  We showed up at the courthouse on Wednesday, March 7 for the sentencing hearing, and were told by the clerk that the hearing was continued until April 3 due to the motions before the court.  That was the good news.  I got back home and found out that the judge had denied the Motion to Stay as moot (due to the continuance), but that on Tuesday, March 6, he had also denied the Motion to Dismiss, based upon the government's request to him via a letter.  As of right now, the next event is thus the rescheduled sentencing hearing for April 3.

14 December 2006 - If you have not yet heard via the media, the jury came back after just one hour of deliberation with a guilty verdict on all three counts, late Friday afternoon.  The defense rested earlier that day, and due to the number of jury instructions, the jury did not go out to deliberate until around 3:30 p.m.  That would have been enough to worry me, save for the fact that I believed we had prevailed to that point in what was generally considered to be a fair trial.  The jury returned at 4:30, per the judge's instructions, not with a request to come back on Monday, but with verdict sheets in hand.  It was then that I started to worry.

I have issues to discuss with attorneys about things upcoming, and I am not going to say anything at all at this point in time about those things.  The sentencing is scheduled for March 7, so I have until then to work on some things.

I thank all of you who have provided support, be it conversational, prayerful, or financial.  Don't stop now! - I'm not done yet.

I have decided to reduce my profile, and hopefully by doing so no longer be a target.  America needs brave individuals to stand up and save her, and I have done that for the better part of a decade now.  I will continue to be a patriot, but perhaps as a part of a group, rather than as a lone soldier.

Other Items

26 January 2007 - I have added a new Travel page to this site, to share with you information about the right to travel we citizens have.  Inspiring headway is being made in New Mexico, and right here in Pennsylvania.  As the government moves towards its goal of a national I.D. card based upon the drivers' license (internal passport), We the People move towards government recognizing our right to travel freely, without any such document.

26 January 2007 - Fellow patriotic Americans Ed Brown and his wife, who live in New Hampshire (the Live Free or Die state), have taken their state's motto seriously.  They walked out of their tax trial, went home, and with the help of supporters, have decided to stand their ground until some sort of fair trial can be guaranteed.  The full story is on the We the People Web site.
