Ocarina Worshops - 4 hours

• lesson plans for unit
• includes basic whistle construction
• sculpting whimsical animal shapes
• carving a whistle
• troubleshooting a non-working whistle
• making tools for carving the whistle
• adding notes to the whistle
• tuning the whistle
• firing the whistle ( if at my studio)
• using oxides and glazes..acrylic finishes

$50.00 per person plus a $10.00 material fee

 

PA German Redware Workshop - 6 hours ( 2 days- 3hrs per day))

• lesson plans for unit
• Rolling a slab- by hand or with slab roller
• constructing a plaster drape mold
• using a drape mold
• application of slips
• slip trailing and/or sgrafito method of decoration
• applying underglazes to sgrafito decoration
• mixing and application of clear glaze

Cost is $60.00 plus a 15.00 material fee.

Mold Making

Learn the art of mold making using polyurethanes and silicone rubber. Cast your sculptures in wax, plastic resins, cold cast bronze. 6 hour workshop $150. plus materials available from (http://wwwwww.smoothon.com)
