Scott Watson
(B.S. Music Education, West Chester University; M.M. and D.M.A.
Composition, Temple University) has taught instrumental and classroom music
in the Parkland School District (Allentown, Pennsylvania) for more than 20
years. Dr. Watson regularly leads courses in music education technology for
the Villanova Summer Music Studies Program, and is former full-time Assistant Professor of Music Theory and Technology for Temple University.
Watson has presented numerous clinics and workshops at state and national
music teacher conferences, was a regular contributing author for Music
Education Technology magazine, and serves on the Board of Advisors for the
Technology Institute for Music Educators (TI:ME) as chair of its
Publications Committee. He is a contributing author and the editor for
Technology Guide for Music Educators (Thomson Publications).
An award-winning and frequently commissioned composer as well, Watson's music for band is published by
Alfred Publishing, C.L. Barnhouse, and Shawnee Press (Concert Works
Unlimited).
