Thank you for visiting the web page of the Bethlehem Professional Fire Fighters, IAFF
Local 735. We are a proud union of 113 men and women who are dedicated
to protecting the lives and property of the citizens of the “Christmas
City USA”, Bethlehem Pennsylvania. Our members provide a wide range of
services, including but not limited to fire suppression, prevention and
education to the community. Our members are thoroughly trained Professional
Fire Fighters. Some of our Fire Fighters are specially trained team
members in a PA state certified Haz-Mat team, PA Level 2 Water Rescue team, and an FBI certified Bomb Squad. We are also very
proud of our Honor Guard and Color Guard which consist of
members who are dedicated to honoring those men and women who have served
in the fire profession.
Our department consists of five stations that house 6 engines, and 2 aerials,
which serves a population of over 70,000 citizens in 20 square miles.
We also have a Haz-Mat truck and trailer, 3 boats, and 2 bomb disposal
trucks and a trailer.
Bethlehem is a beautiful city that is nestled
in the middle of the Lehigh Valley along the Lehigh River. We have
two well-known colleges within our borders, Lehigh University on the south side
of the city and Moravian College on the north side.
Our members are also community minded, working with the Muscular
Dystrophy Association (MDA), the Bethlehem
Salvation Army, local schools, youth associations, and other charitable organizations.
