It Was Raining
1982: This song was written for The Klap, but the rest of the band thought it was too darn goofy and we never played it live.
In retrospect, they were probably right. Nonetheless, if you like goofy new wave songs you might like this one.

Synopsis: Silly New Wave song about missed opportunities.
Lyrics
I don't know what to do
I never met someone like you
Eyes a pale shade of violet
They were open on the day we never met
It was raining
You were standing two feet from my face
On the porch of that little hardware place
It was raining
You said you hoped it would let up soon
I hoped it would stay all afternoon
It was raining
I don't know what to do
I never met someone like you
Eyes a pale shade of violet
You were hoping you would not get wet
It was raining
You were thinking of dashing for your car
I said I thought mine was not as far
It was raining
You said thanks but no thanks just the same
As I ran I said that was a shame
It was raining
I don't know what to do
I never met someone like you
I don't know what to do
I never met someone like you
