Brick Memorial senior 152-pounder Dave Kiley had an impressive pin of Northern Burlington's Al Wonesch and

freshman Karon Reid, wrestling at his natural weight of 130 after spending much of the year wrestling 135, had two

wins as Brick Memorial defeated Northern Burlington, 49-17, and Manalapan, 48-12, in a tri at Manalapan.

Senior Joe Zito returned to the Toms River North lineup for the first time since Jan. 21 and recorded two wins by

technical fall as the Mariners swept a quad at South Brunswick High School. The Mariners defeated South River,

Lawrence, and Woodbridge. Zito (12-1) had been sidelined with a shoulder injury.

Howell's Billy Woodward (145), the Region VI third-place fin-isher last year at 135, defeated Toms River South's

Keith Dillard, the District 24 runner-up at 135 last year, 9-2, in the fea-tured bout of the day.

They were down 12-3 after losing three of the first four bouts, which started at 189 pounds. Brian Cohen was on the

mat against Wall's Jeff Seidel at 112 and looked like he was in trouble.Trailing 7-5 with less than a minute left in the

final period, however, Cohen got a takedown and then allowed Seidel to escape, putting him a point behind. Ten

seconds later, he got the takedown he needed for the lead and then turned Seidel on his back to seal the match.From

that point on, it was all Jackson, which won 41-17. It was one of three wins on the day for Jackson, which also defeated

Middletown North, and Lacey. But it didn't. Nick Keshecki came through with a workmanlike 4-1 win against Blaine

Woszczak and Matt Bradley followed with a tough win against Anthony Cappiello.

The Knights rolled past undermanned Lacey, and ended the day with victory against Middletown North. Wall is

now 14-3 and will host a semifinal sectional match Tuesday. Jackson will wrestle the winner of Middletown North

and Howell in a Central Jersey Group IV semifinal Tuesday. Lacey will be looking for anyone they can find to wrestle.

Berkely Thomas (189) broke a third period tie with Paul Martinez with a takedown and then hung on for a 5-4 win to

clinch Lakewood's 38-32 win over Holmdel in a non-divisional match. Thomas' win gave the Piners a 38-20 lead with

two bouts left. Lakewood then forfeited the final two bouts. Tom Patanio (112) also had a one-point win for the Piners

(6-10), as he reversed Jeremy Gilstein in the third period and then hung for a 7-6 win by fighting off a Gilstein attempt

to gain back points with a headlock in the closing seconds. Patanio had a takedown in the first period and three back

Anthony Panzarino took Gage Bongiovi down with two seconds left in the 215-pound bout to record a 5-3 win and

give host Freehold Boro a 31-30 win over Point Pleasant Boro in a non-divisional match. Point Boro's Marty Infante

pinned at heavyweight in the final bout to actually tie the match, 30-30, but it was not enough because the Colonials

(13-4) won on criteria No. 1, most bouts won. Freehold won eight bouts to Point Boro's six. It was the biggest victory
