Welcome to the Lehigh Valley Canoe Club!

The Lehigh Valley Canoe Club is one of the largest and most active paddling clubs in the United States! We offer training, trips, social events and opportunities to improve and enhance our local rivers.

Attending meetings and surfing our web site links are the best ways for you to get up-to-date news and to become involved in club activities. On the web site you will find our newsletter, River Readings.  Members also receive a monthly Email, the E-News which alerts them to upcoming events that might not be posted on the web site.

Our regular monthly meetings offer paddling related programs, time to catch-up with other paddlers and of course a business meeting.  Meetings are usually held at 7pm on the first Thursday of the month at the Red Cross Building on Avenue A near the Lehigh Valley Airport. Regular monthly meetings are held September through November and February through June. Our September and May meetings are often Paddle and Potluck dinners on the Lehigh.  June’s meeting is a free Pizza and Paddle night!

Our February River Film Festival offers a fun day of viewing national and local paddling films, pool demonstrations, visiting with vendors and a silent auction.  A perfect way to chase away the winter non-paddling blues!

The LVCC is very active in pursuing quality water releases and river access for paddlers.  This involves working with the ACE, the DCNR and local stake-holders.

The LVCC is first and foremost about paddling.  Beginners are encouraged to take our winter pool classes and then to continue to improve their skills through our popular Summer Beginner Paddling series which consist of increasingly challenging trips.  Soon you will feel comfortable leading a trip yourself!  Experienced paddlers also hone their skills during our winter pool sessions and lend their experience and leadership both on and off the water!

By its’ very nature, paddling can be a very individualized activity, but it is much safer and a lot more fun when you paddle with the LVCC!

See You On the River !
