Verizon
DSL

There has been some amazing changes in the development of fast Internet connections these past few weeks making Verizon DSL even more attractive.  Verizon has dramatically lowered the price of their broadband DSL service from $39.95 to $34.95 and have doubled the maximum download speed of available service to 1.5 megabits.  (Current customers have to call 800-567-6789 to ask for a speed upgrade and new price.)  With pricier phone service packages that include call forwarding and long distance on your regular landline, the cost of your DSL can drop to as little as $29.95 per month!

Even more important than price, Verizon is making a strong effort to support people with more than one home computer, particularly wireless users.  Verizon will sell you a Linksys wireless router (for $129) that lets you connect as many wireless PCs as you want for the same monthly price, and will help you set it up and troubleshoot connections when they go down.

I have been using Verizon DSL for two years.  I have been using a Linksys router on four computers, and they run fine.  They currently have an excellent support staff which is great for all users from Novice to more advanced.  This is an excellent opportunity for all users, new and old, considering you can run so many computers for same monthly price!

A Verizon representative will be at this coming Monday’s Internet SIG Meeting on June 9, 7:30 PM, to fill you in on all of Verizon’s current offerings.  See you there!  Bring your friends and family.  Everyone is welcome!  Visit Verizon website at: http://www.verizon.net for further details.
