Note: The Valley View Inn is inconveniently located in a beautiful rural area. Be prepared for winding roads, hills, no-passing zones, and stray farm animals. Depending on the weather, there may be some tourist (foliage) traffic.
From Lehigh Valley and points west (I-78 Eastbound)
Note: those familiar with the area may chose 22 to 33 to 512 to 611. It is somewhat faster, but 512 makes some odd turns that are not well marked).
Head east on I-78 in Pennsylvania
Exit at Route 22 East
Exit at 4th Street in Easton (611/Last Exit in PA)
Make left at stop light at end of exit
Make almost immediate left at next stop light onto 3rd Street
Turn right at Shammy Shine Car Wash (sign says: to 611 North)
Left at stop sign onto 611 North.
Proceed on 611 North approximately 19 miles to town of Mount Bethel
(about 30 minutes drive time)
Turn right onto Potomac Street (Rum Corners Antiques at corner)
Take Potomac 1.2 miles to stop sign.
Turn left at stop sign onto Sunrise Boulevard.
Take Sunrise 1.3 miles to Valley View Inn on the left.
From New York City, Northern New Jersey and points northeast
Take I-80 west in New Jersey
Take Exit #4, Route 46 East (Columbia, NJ exit)
Follow signs for Route 46 and Columbia. The road will bend to
the left and take you under Route 80.
Immediately follow signs for Route 611/Portland, PA.
Cross toll bridge into Pennsylvania ($1.00 toll)
After crossing toll bridge, follow signs for 611 South/Mt. Bethel
In Mount Bethel, turn left onto Potomac Street (Rum Corners Antiques
at corner)
Take Potomac 1.2 miles to stop sign.
Turn left at stop sign onto Sunrise Boulevard.
Take Sunrise 1.3 miles to Valley View Inn on the left.
From Northeast Pennsylvania
Take I-80 East past Stroudsburg.
Take Exit #53 (Route 611 South/Delaware Water Gap)
Follow 611 South through towns of Delaware Water Gap and Portland,
into Mount Bethel
Turn left onto Potomac Street (Rum Corners Antiques at corner)
Take Potomac 1.2 miles to stop sign.
Turn left at stop sign onto Sunrise Boulevard.
Take Sunrise 1.3 miles to Valley View Inn on the left.
From South Jersey
Take GS Parkway to 287 North to 78 West
Then, there are two alternative routes:
In Annandale, take 31 North approximately 15 miles to Route 46. Proceed
from 46 as per New York City directions above. (Approx. 45 minutes drive
time from Clinton/Annandale).
OR
Take 78 West to 22 West through Phillipsburg. Cross toll bridge into
Pennsylvania. (50 cents toll) Take immediate right after crossing bridge
onto 611 North, and proceed as per Lehigh Valley directions above. (Approx.
50 minutes drive time from Clinton/Annandale).
