Local New Jersey Fly-Fishing Resources
Local Waters-
In the North Western part of the state there is an abundance of stocked trout waters. These waters run from
thousands of acres in size for some man-made lakes down to a few feet wide crystal-clear running streams. The popular
myth of New Jersey being comprised of little more than toxic waste and the New Jersey Turnpike - is just that -
a myth. Our part of the state has a multitude of deer, pheasant, turkey and trout. A large number of lakes and
quiet are streams filled with trout and other species are within 30 minutes drive.
Local waters include the following man-made reservoirs.
Round Valley Reservoir.
The round valley trout association maintains a site at http://www.crisp.net/home/augustin/rvta.html.
