Class of 1960 - Scholarship Fund-Raiser

Bus Trip to Lancaster includes winery tour, dinner, and a ticket to the "Bristish Invasion" at the American Music Theater for $95/person.

The Class of 1960 been raising money for a scholarship to be given at the 2010 graduation ceremony in celebration of their 50th reunion. They are planning a bus trip in October as a scholarship fund-raiser. The trip is open to all interested parties. The details of the trip are as follows:

Date: Saturday, October 4, 2008

Time: Leave BAHS Administration Building Parking Lot at 12:00 Noon and return around Midnight

Cost: $95 per person due on August 29, 2008

Trip includes:

  • Bus ticket
  • Bus driver's tip
  • Snacks and beverages on bus
  • Taste-testing at the Twin Brook Winery from 2:30 to 4:00 PM
  • Family style sit-down dinner at Hershey Farms Restaurant from 4:45 to 6: 30 PM
  • Ticket to the "British Invasion" at the American Music Theater - a tribute to the Beatles, Kinks, Stones, among others.   We have the best seats in the house - rows 3, 4, 5, 6 in the center orchestra section. The show runs from 7:30 to 9:30 PM.

Bangor Alumni Band

Craig Paine, Bangor High School Band Director, is organizing a Bangor Alumni Band to participate at the Homecoming Football Game on Oct. 10, 2008. Additional information and registration information is available here or contact Mr. Paine at the school 610-588-2163, 7, ext 1135#. He is looking for ANY and ALL band alumni from ANY year. This includes instrumentalists, band front, majorettes, and main guard. Everyone is welcome to come and join u.s for the fun.

Slater Bears

Our Slater Bears are ready to be "adopted." They were made by Mary Anne Catino, a BHS alumnus, who has donated them to us to sell to help raise money for our scholarship fund. Each bear is 19 inches tall and sports a Bangor Slater sweater. Some have dark brown bodies as shown here and some are a lighter tan. Each bear sells for $12.00. There is a limited number so if you would like one of these little guys, please call June at 610-588-5198.

We are in the final stages of the production of our newest replica, the Bangor Middle School. This is the 15th in a series of replicas of the schools in the Bangor Area School District. You may place an order by calling 610-588-5198. For additional information on this or other replicas, click here. All replicas are $15.00 and the proceeds benefit the BAHS Alumni Scholarship Fund.
