In my quest for truth, and in keeping with my drive to expose the lies and nonsense, I present this - a page of correspondence regarding my website. (I don't plan on implementing a real 'guest book'.) I won't include names or addresses - of course.

I completely agree with you about US companies moving their manufacturing to China, Mexico, etc. They should lower their prices, but should also have to contribute all funds to the unemployment system. I have been trying to find a US-made phone for years and my search is useless. My family owns a manufacturing company and we take great pride in buying US products whenever possible.

I find it strange that you heavily support Republicans and freedom, yet you are against Microsoft. What is up with that? Are they not allowed to benefit from the great Capitalist society of our great nation? Anyway, nice site and I do agree with many of your fronts.

Well, you probably noticed that I didn't condemn them for benefitting.
Put it this way: we have anti-trust laws for SOBs like that. People like Carneige and Rockefeller set the stage. Now we have another actor, and some people support them? It boggles me.
Here's another perspective: I'm against megacorporations precisely because I'm a 'right' thinker. I despise MS and their ilk because they go AGAINST capitalism; it seems to me that they are more like DICTATORSHIPS than normal companies. They take capitalism and our country's laws and exploit them to their utmost advantage.
Because of MicroSludge, many companies don't exist anymore (were bought by MS, or just had to close down). MS put forth THEIR OWN ideas of 'standards' and really bodged the computer industry (case in point: DirectX and ActiveX).
I'm absolutely disgusted with the foundation of their business: computer manufacturers and dealers MUST (by CONTRACT) install a Windows OS on EVERY computer sold. If you call one and state that you don't want Windows installed, it can't be done. Sure, you can install your own - but you're still paying that SOB!
How's that for imposing your will on a whole society?

Like you I am not a right-wing mastodon, or low brow Neanderthal. I'm just sick and tired of the crap that is happening in MY country, the place I was born, that I shed blood for in the jungles of Southeast Asia.
I wonder how many more of us there are out there? We all need to find a way to band, and, thru the polls, take back control of our nation and inject some common sense into our government. Banning the Democratic party would be a good place to start.

He claims to be on the extreme left (essentially a full-blown socialist) - I agree. He makes a false claim that I 'compare pot smokers to child molesters', which sets the tone for the rest of his nonsense. He makes an interesting claim that 'free speech' includes a person's right to indulge in things they enjoy [free speech refers to what you say about the gorvernment].

Motivation for visiting: I like to read pet peeves (not the joke ones) to know that logic, and discernment of what is right, is not COMPLETELY dead, though nearly. And I especially like pet peeves about the imperial measurement system. Another good one I found, besides yours, is bolt.
Likes/dislikes: Your web site is interesting, with lots of content. There are few sites I've stayed on this long to read. Rather captivating and you are indeed interesting. It's good to know there are still a few decent people out there opposed to: promiscuity, faggots, perverts, fornication, prostitutes, divorce, adultery, thugs, deception, liars, immorality, lack of education, utter stupidity, income tax (unconstitutional), and mindlessness. I think your site has helped me.

I certainly do support your views with regard to Microsoft, and have steered my career in the direction of my beliefs. I support Unix/Linux systems instead of M$ systems, and work with NT/Win2K only if I am UNinstalling them. There are a lot of reasons that M$ really doesn't make any logical sense, but I won't bother to outline them as we both agree!
