This is a hopefully fun web page devoted to fireworks.
Fireworks were invented in China hundreds of years ago and are one of America's Fourth of July traditions. Fireworks are a declining American tradition because some states don't allow any fireworks.
Fireworks are currently illegal in the state of Pennsylvania as well as many others. (NOTE: Pennsylvania is passing a bill (SENATE BILL No. 1015 Session of 2001)which would legalize some more consumer fireworks in PA if passed be the state legislature and signed by the governer.) We the makers of this web page beleive that fireworks should be legal in all states and think that if used correctly fireworks can bring no harm. Also the people in our day are liking fireworks twice as much so as a result firework sales have doubled and also they are becoming safer to use and as a result the injury rate has split in half.
To outlaw fireworks in your state the fire department or police put on a "dangerous" firework display such as sticking M-80 firework in a watermelon to "prove" how dangerous a sparkler is. " Note: an M-80 is not a sparkler, it's actually a very powerful firework which is illegal in all 50 states. Some other demostrations are a dummy who holds a lit cherry bomb up to their head to show the effect. Who crazy enough would hold a cherry bomb up to their face? A cherry bomb is just like an M-80. Sometimes they shoot a bottle rocket at a piece of a roof of a house and set it on fire. First ther pre-coat it in lighter fluid, to make it catch on fire. All they do is just show you the wrong way to use fireworks. Only about 11 people per 100,000 people get injured by fireworks each year. Kids get hurt by pencils more than they do with fireworks. And many kids drown in 5 gallon buckets than fireworks! Fireworks are safe if used correctly. With new technology, fireworks are becoming safer and safer to use.ALSO: Even though the amout of fireworks doubled, the amount of people ingured from 1996 had dropped 67%

Some indian reservations sell M-1000's, a 1/2 stick of explosives. These are ILLEGAL everywhere, and so are cherry bombs and M-80's. These fireworks are DANGEROUS to use. How ever, all other fireworks are considered SAFE to use by the US Government.
