|
Team plaques are determined by summing all four
scores for the four months of testing, even if they were not present for an
exam. In the web pages the final
scores are listed as JFMA. Any school in
the top ten of their testing area will receive a plaque from the NJSL. If two schools tie for a position, then both
will receive a plaque for their effort.
The students earn a certificate by completing three
of the four exams. Only those students
receiving a certificate are ranked.
Ranking is based upon the sum of the best of 3 exams. Students completing less than 3 exams will not
be ranked, nor will certificates be mailed for them. In the student rankings any “ties” eliminated
the next positions below the “tie”. For
example if there are 3 students tied at rank 4, then there will not be anyone
in positions 5 and 6, since they were taken by the students tied at position #
4. The number of plaques for the
students is determined by taking 10% of those receiving a certificate in a
testing subject.
