868th BOMBARDMENT SQUADRON (H): 
Starting in August 1943 the "Snoopers" were originally part
of the 394th BG. In October 1943 they were taken out of
the 394th and became known as the 5th Bombardment Group
Project. On January 1, 1944 they were re-organized as an
independent squadron of the 13th Air Force - the 868th
Bombardment Squadron (H).
