Here's a quick set on how to fit Pioneer tools on a CJ. Fasten the
lower axe bracket using the upper holes. I drilled the two lower
holes through the tub and bolted those also. Using an axe head as
a guide I positioned the upper axe sheath, marked and drilled four
holes in the sheath. Using that as a template I marked and drilled the
corresponding holes in the tub. Make sure of where the drill will exit
on the other side!

I then MIG welded studs into the holes in the sheath.

After painting the sheath I mounted it to the tub using nuts, lock
washers, and flat washers on the studs. Looks like it's welded on
but can be easily removed if need be.

Added the footman loops and straps. I made backing plates for
the footman by MIG welding nuts to18gauge steel strips. Make sure
there's enough room for them inside the tub when drilling the holes.
I'm not pleased with the color of the straps and will probably
replace them.
