Welcome to Hellish, the TAFL Approved Junko Mizuno Fanlist.

August 19th, 2008: One member update.

Notice: If you have the time, please take a look at the Wikipedia article on Junko. I think it could use some fixing and bulking up, so if you have the time please contribute your knowledge! I'll be working on it too, hopefully, in the near future. Don't forget to credit your sources! And thank you to those who have taken the time and initiative! The article is looking fantastic!

About

//About Junko Mizuno
Junko Mizuno was born in 1973, in Tokyo, Japan. She became interested in creating her own manga after working in a movie theater in the mid-90s, and seeing how wonderfully people reacted to the characters from the Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon movies. She found herself wanting to create characters people could love and relate to just as much.

Mizuno began by writing and drawing doujin, including some of her own Sailor Moon stories. Her art evolved from a more traditional shoujo style into the "creepy, yet cute" style she's famous for today. It caught the attention of many companies, including Avex Trax, a popular recording label, and she began doing work for them. Much of her art can be found on clothing, nightclubs, murals and in manga of her own, in Japan.

In English speaking countries, her art has gained her a cult following, via the Mighty Fine clothing label (now, French Kitty, and unfortunately no longer selling her art on clothes), distribution of stationary and other goods through Dark Horse Comics and the publication of her fairytale redux titles by Viz Communications.

//About Hellish
I fell in love with Junko Mizuno's art during the  late spring/early summer of 2002. Around the same time, the well known manga publishing company Viz Communications, started releasing her fairytale centric titles. To help promote Junko and my newfound artistic love, I applied to make the fanlisting on November 22, 2002. It was accepted by November 28, 2002, and was launched toward the beginning of December 2002, under the name Ideas From Hell. In October 2006, after a much needed makeover, the fanlist reopened under the name Hellish.

Also, please note: I AM NOT JUNKO. Please do not send emails and comments telling me how much you love my work. I am just a fan, like you. I am also in no way affiliated with Ms. Mizuno and this is a work of pure fandom.

//About The Fanlistings
A fanlisting is simply an online listing of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are) - they are just a place where you can have your name listed along with other fans of the same subject. TheFanlistings.org is the original (but not only) web directory for fanlistings, dedicated to uniting fans across the globe. - the official site

1. Name, e-mail address and country are required fields on the forum. You will not be able to join if you do not provide at least all three.

1a. Your e-mail must be valid. I do not use PHPfanbase, etc. so I do not offer the option to omitting your e-mail, so it MUST be valid, which means it works when I send you the 'thanks for joining' e-mail. If the e-mail bounces back, you will be removed. (You may request spam protection through text insertions of 'NOSPAM' or 'REMOVECAPITOLS' into your e-mail address, though.)

1b. Your country is also required by thefanlistings.org/animefanlistings.org! It's how the members are sorted, so please include the country you currently reside in, and only one.

2. Do not direct link the codes. You have been warned. Also, please refrain from using the codes as avatars.

3. Apparently people seem to miss this, but: IF YOU WANT YOUR WEBSITE LISTED, LINK BACK TO THIS FANLISTING! I don't see what's so hard about this. And yes, this includes automated accounts (MySpace, deviantArt, livejournal etc.) if you list it as your web site.

Members

1. I have the right to unlink any member's website, who does not have the code up. Even if your site is on hiatus or something, keep the code up. And please make sure the code is easy enough to find.

2. Please use the joining forum (below) to update information. Just leave a note in the comments section saying you are doing as such. This goes for removal from the listing, too.
