Bill Grumbine's Personal Space

(A man out standing in his field!)

Welcome to my personal website! I truly am out standing in my field. Actually, it is the bank's field, I just cut the grass for them. Come on in, spend some time, and read about my adventures in woodworking and boatbuilding. I update and change this site from time to time when I get the time, so please come on back every now and then if you're interested in what I've been up to.

If you feel like it, please drop a note to say hello, and  maybe a little of what you thought about the place.

BIG NEWS FOR VISITORS TO THIS SITE

Posted March 2, 2006

This is a good news, bad news situation. This site is going to go away in the near future. I have been with my current ISP, who provides the space for me here, since 1997. We have had a very good relationship, and I would have no reason to consider leaving except for one, and that is high speed internet access. We live in a backwater for the phone company, and every time I call and ask about the possibility of DSL, the person on the other end of the phone laughs. The answer is not now, not ever. Now, that may not be true, but it certainly means that it is most likely going to be a very long time.

The good news is, all of the woodworking content is going to remain available on my commercial site Wonderful Wood. Most of it is there already. The other stuff like the boatbuilding and other articles will be available once I get my new ISP up and running. If you are interested in that stuff, I will be putting a link to the new site from my commercial site. So, while this particluar site is going away, my personal space is just moving a bit.

So, if you are a regular visitor to this site, and have it bookmarked, you might want to change your bookmark to Wonderful Wood. If you are a first time visitor, you may also want to do so.

DVD UPDATE!!!

The first video has been and continues to be a success well beyond what I ever imagined. Based on the encouragement (and money!) so many of you have offered, I will be filming a second video at the end of March 2006. I do not know when the release date will be yet, but be sure to check at my commercial site, Wonderful Wood

This is a personal page, and under the rules of my ISP, I am not allowed to sell anything from here. However, I do sell my work, and I am a turning instructor, teaching turning since 1995. If you are interested in buying a piece of my work, or perhaps spending some time in my shop on the lathe, click here for details.
