Here's some stuff that will no doubt cause some strong reaction among some.  I have put this up, not for the purpose of generating an argument, but rather to let the curious reader know a little more about me, who I am, how I think.  Some of you reading this will no doubt rejoice that you have encountered another of like mind and faith, and some of you will become enraged at my so called "narrow minded bigotry".  Many of you won't care one way or the other.

I, as well as the rest of my family, am a Bible believing Christian.  We believe that Jesus Christ is God, and He is our Saviour.  We believe the Bible to be the Word of God, inerrant in its original writings.  The copies we have today, while not the originals, do contain some errors, but none of any import, and none that detract in any way from any major doctrine.  We also believe that thre are things in Scripture which we do not have the knowledge to understand at present.  Those aren't errors, though some regard them as such.

We are also members of the Mennonite church, which in some instances believes the Bible, and in some instances, does not.  The denomination, as with any denomination, is a creation of man, and when its teachings come into conflict with what the Bible tells us, we must reexamine that belief in light of Scripture, not the other way around.  We are grateful that our local congregation holds the Word of God in very high regard, and the Bible is proclaimed as best as can be by the leaders of our local body.

I'll be adding to this from time to time as I get time, or as I see the need.  Feel free to write me, regardless of your own beliefs.  I would only ask that you put aside any preconceived notions before you do.  For example, not all Mennonites drive a horse and buggy, although many of my neighbors do.  Also, if you are one of those people who is open minded and tolerant of everyone except those who don't think exactly like you, save us both some time and don't bother.  Neither of us is going to change the mind of the other, and I don't need the hate in my mailbox.  However, if you have genuine questions as to what or why I believe, don't feel I will put you down if you believe differently.  I may disagree, but I will do it politely.
