Our Detachment membership participates collectively or individually in the following activities:
- Our Detachment received the Gil Gray 1st place award for our Americanism Book at the 1999 National Convention in Colorado, and now has just received it again at the 2000 National Convention in New Orleans! We received a 1st place award this year in Category III (Detachments over 100 members) at our Dept. of PA 2000 State Convention in Valley Forge, PA!
- Visits and distributes gifts to our county nursing home veterans during the Holiday season.
- Supplies a burial detail upon request for deceased area Marines and members of our sister services.
- Color guard details for local area parades and ceremonies.
- Awards certificates to local Eagle scouts.
- Provides speakers for local schools of different era Marine Vets to educate our young people.
- Participates in our local area Joint Veteran's Council.
- Many of our members attend the local Marine Reserve Marine Corps Birthday Ball.
- Assists the Marine Reserve in the "Toys for Tots" program.
- Renders whatever assistance is needed to our local Marine Recruiters and Reserve I & I Staff.
- Many of our members attend the PA rifle and pistol matches at Fort Indian
Town Gap.
- A great many of our members are an active part of other area American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts.
- A yearly Marine Corps Birthday Party.
- A yearly Christmas Party.
- Has an active Devil Dog Pound #67.
- A Navy birthday party.
- A St. Patrick's Day party.
- Hold a celebration every year on our Detachment's Charter anniversary.
- A yearly picnic for our members and one for our Devil Dog Pound
- Participate in our Department's Americanism program.
- Support our Department and the National's programs.
