Macintosh Computers
Creativity In Action
The Power To Think Different

You've probably noticed that every page has a banner for Macintosh displayed on it. I like to let everyone know my computer of choice, and the system used to create the pages you see here. I have been using a Macintosh since 1985, when I got my first Mac, a Macintosh 128K system complete with an internal 400K floppy drive as well as a 400K external floppy drive for all my storage needs. I used that system well for six years, replacing it in 1991 with a Macintosh LC. The LC lasted until 1997, when that, too, was replaced with a Macintosh Performa 6360, complete with CD ROM, 1 Gig hard drive, 28.8 modem and color AV monitor. Don't worry, the LC is still in use by someone else who uses it for internet access.

I do, however, believe that every system has its place. I work on Macs, Unix machines and Windows boxes at work. Each system serves its purpose. For home use, though, nothing beats a Macintosh. They are easy to set up, easy to use, fast and powerful. I have added a printer, scanner and Zip drive and had them up and running in less time than it took to unpackage them. I have accessed the web and handled dial-in support calls from home, all off my Macintosh.

By now you're thinking to yourself, why would anyone buy a computer from a dying company? I agree 100 percent. I would never buy a computer from a dying company. Luckily, Apple is anything *BUT* a dying company. They've reported a profit for the first quarter of 98, their stock is up and recommended as a buy by many experts, they've released the fastest computers and laptops in the G3 Macs and the 3400 Powerbooks, and you see their mark all over the web with QuickTime movies and QuickTime VR. Apple has always been known as an innovator, and this year we'll see the release of Rhapsody for the Mac. True multi-tasking is only a step away.

If you would like more information, here are some links to check out. They contain software, articles, tips and free advice to help you get the most out of your Mac. If you've been convinced by an extremely biased media that Macs are going the way of Beta, and you shouldn't buy them, I'm sure you will find more than enough proof on the pages to show otherwise. Enjoy the trip.
