"O"

Observation Point: The point from which an observation is taken.
Observation Station: The point from which an observation is taken.
Obscuration: The amount of sky that is hidden by snow, rain, fog, dust, haze, etc.
Obstruction To Visibility: Any form of precipitation, fog, smoke, haze, dust, dirt volcanic ash. ocean spray which obscures the visibility below 7 miles.
Occluded Front: A condition in the atmosphere when an air mass gets trapped between to colder air masses and is forced aloft.
Occlusion: To Close or come together.
Occlusion - Cold Front: When cold air overtakes and replaces warm air.
Occlusion - Warm Front: When warm overtakes and replaces cold air.
Orographic Lifting: Air that is lifted over a mountain.
Overcast: Clouds covering the total sky.
Overrunning: When warm light air overruns colder denser air.

  

"OZONE"

1. OZONE: About 12 ozone molecules for 1 million air molecules. 2. OZONE: Antarctic Ozone Hole expands in winter shrinks in summer. 3. OZONE: Been measured by the British since 1956. 4. OZONE: Concentration in stratosphere remains constant. 5. Ozone: Contains 3 Oxygen atoms (O3). 6. OZONE: In in the stratosphere helps blocks out Ultra Vilot (UV) rays produced by the sun. 7. OZONE: In the tropsphere produce by lightning discharges. 8. OZONE: Forms in the stratosphere by combining Molecular Oxygen (O2) with Atomic Oxygen (O). 9. OZONE: Most Ozone over Antarctica comes from S. America 10 OZONE: Near the earth's surface causes pollution. the "Green House Effect. Harmful to human, animals, plant and marine life. With the help of the sun produces "Photochemical Smog". 11. OZONE: Ozone does not penetrate deep into the ocean. 12. OZONE: Ozone Hole forms in the Arctic, however it is much smaller. 13. OZONE: OZONE HOLE phenomenon first observed in 1980s 14. Ozone: Smells Like Eggs. Bluish in color. 15 OZONE: Some causes of OZONE Depletion: Solar Cycle. Suns output. Sun necessary for OZONE to form. 16. OZONE: Some destroyers of OZONE. Chloroflurocarbons (CFC's). Chlorine/Flurine/Carbon which are in aresols & coolents. Automobiles primary of (CFC's). 17. OZONE: There are about 12 parts per muillion from abt 3 to 35 miles. as low as 1 ppm surface to 3 miles up. 18. OZONE: There are fluctions from volcanic eruptions. 19. OZONE: The Ozone Hole forms only in Antarctica due to the rare winter conditions. 20. OZONE: Used over 100 yrs. to purify water. Acts 3000 times faster than chlorine. 99& of bacteria in drinking water can be killed with ozone. 21. OZONE: UV rays at max 10am to 2pm. Cause skin cancer sun burn and cataracts. 22 OZONE: 90% located between 6-30 mi above earth.
