**Six Meter Homebrew "H Array"**

In 1965 when I lived in Depew, N.Y., a suburb of Buffalo, N.Y., I built my first six meter "H Array". My amateur radio call at that time was: WA2WSE.

The antenna was a 28 element "H Array" antenna. It consisted of four 7 element beams on 27 foot booms doubled stacked 1/2 wavelength high and 1 wavelength apart..

The antenna was made from all aluminum. I used an inexpensive rotor which worked quite well.

During a strong wind storm of about 80 mph wind, the antenna came crashing down. The saying is:

**If the antenna stays up in the wind, it is to small**
