poles.

1. The earth is almost round, however, due to the spinning, the earth
bulges slightly at the equator and is slightly flatten at the poles.
2. The earth's circumference is slightly larger around the equator than
around the poles.

4. The earth's circumference around the poles is 24,860 miles.
5. About 30 percent of the earth is land.
6. About 70 percent of the earth is water.
