My Young Life: By Charles A. Giannetta

"Hunting Trip"

Many years ago when I was in my mid to late teens my dad Charles Giannetta Senior and I were Charter Members of the: "Bucktown Rod & Gun Club" located in Dunmore, Pa. USA.
The club rented some land in Northeast Pennsylvania, USA. along a lake at that time called "Long Pond".
During on the hunting seasons in Pennsylvania many of the members of the club went Deer Hunting. We did quite well the first day of the season.
Looking at the picture on the left: Picture No. 1 are members of the club that had gone Dear Hunting that day.
My dad Charles Giannetta Senior is at the bottom right with his deer. He is the one holding the rifle across his knee.
The other fellow on the left who is kneeling is holding the Buck that I bagged that first day. It was my first Deer ever that I bagged.
I took this picture No. 1.

In the picture on the right picture No. 2 you can see me holding my Deer and my rifle and my dad holding his Buck and rifle.
In the car are two more Buck that were bagged that day by other members. We all had a great first day of: Buck Season.
My dad along with several others in the pictures have since passed away.

Below is a picture of the Club Emblem we had made for our jackets at that time. I still have this emblem.

In picture No. 1. on the right is my dad Charles Giannetta kneeling holding

I bagged that day. I took picture No. 1.

In the picture No. 2. You can see me kneeling holding the Buck that I bagged
that day along with my rifle.

In the above picture that is me at about 18 years old standing in front of my dad's car

(Kaiser). On both fenders are Deer that my dad and I bagged that. day. My dad took the picture

My dad passed away in 1967. That is when I lost my hunting partner. I hunted for
many years after his passing. I went hunting with other people, however, it was not the same
without my dad. We were: "Great Hunting Partners."
