From the Head Coach
He is a great running back, we have a great deal of respect
(for him), and he is a very good cutback runner," Marian
Catholic coach Stan Dakotsky.
"The kid just made plays, he made the plays when he had
to. He's a good back that runs hard, and he smelled the end zone."
Pleasant Valley coach Mike Falcone.
"A good back, you're not going to stop him completely,
You've just got to keep the long runs to a minimum. But he's going
to make plays. Football players make plays." Pocono Mountain
East coach Dan Catino.
''Big player, big situation, and he makes that great 76 yard
run, what a play.'' Stroudsburg coach Fred Ross.
"He's definitely the best back we've seen this year and
probably the best back we'll see all year," Pocono Mountain
West coach Jim McCarroll.
"Frey's a very good back, we knew he'd get his yards."
East Stroudsburg North coach Chuck Dailey.
We held him (Frey) from breaking those really big plays, which
we felt like we had to do, but he's tough." Jim Thorpe coach
Mark Rosenberger.
''If there is a better running back in the state, I want to
see him.'' Lehighton coach Bill Brong.
2007 PSFCA East West All Star Game Circle of Excellence Award
coach quote, "It's his whole demeanor about the game,"
East head coach Steve Shiffert (Easton) said of Frey. "The
kid comes out and works hard every single play. He asks questions
not only about his position but also about other positions and
how the game is played. Above all, he is a total gentleman."
Scout.com - 05/02/2006
"One of the most prolific backs in Pennsylvania."
by Bob Lichtenfels of Scout.com. "
Anyone who may have doubted the athletic ability of
Lehighton, Pa., running back Robbie Frey need only to look at the
day of testing he had at the Scout.Com All-American Combine at Rutgers.
The numbers that Frey posted show that he tested as well as anyone
in the nation this year and should warrant some serious looks this
season." by Bob Lichtenfels.
